To store Kunafa chocolate (a chocolate treat filled or topped with kunafa/kataifi pastry), follow these tips to keep it fresh and maintain its texture:
✅ Short-Term Storage (1–3 days):
Room temperature (if climate is cool and dry):
Keep in an airtight container.
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and heat.
Ideal if the kunafa is crispy and you want to maintain crunch.
✅ Medium-Term Storage (up to 1 week):
Refrigerator:
Use an airtight container to prevent moisture absorption and odour transfer.
Expect that the kunafa might become less crispy.
Tip: Let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving or reheating slightly in the oven for crispiness.
✅ Long-Term Storage (1+ week):
Freezer:
Wrap pieces in plastic wrap or foil, then place in a freezer-safe container or bag.
Thaw in the fridge or room temperature.
Reheat in oven (not microwave) to restore crunch.
⚠️ Avoid:
Leaving in open air — kunafa will go soggy or stale.
Storing near strong-smelling items (especially in fridge or freezer) — chocolate absorbs odours easily.
